Demonstrating Generosity in Our Local Communities

UScellular Celebrates Giving Tuesday

Today is Giving Tuesday, a day for people to demonstrate their generosity in supporting their communities through charitable acts, such as donations of their time and resources. I’m happy to celebrate our associates’ passions for the causes and community organizations they care about most year-round through a variety of programs including:

  • Associate Match program: UScellular matches associates’ donations dollar for dollar to registered nonprofits up to $2,500.
  • Dollars for Doers: UScellular associates are eligible to receive a $250 grant to give to a registered nonprofit after volunteering and recording at least 10 hours with registered nonprofits.
  • Skills-based volunteering: UScellular associates put their knowledge and skills to use to help nonprofits solve their biggest challenges through one-day pitch competitions and long-term consulting projects.
  • Connect Your Cause: UScellular associates are invited to nominate and vote for the community organizations they support. In 2023, UScellular donated more than $40,000 to the seven organizations with the most votes.

As a company, we give back to our communities through our youth STEM learning programs by supporting Boys & Girls Club of America, Girls Who Code and YWCA. We also help connect kids in our markets to an essential resource, like Wi-Fi, to keep learning outside of school through our After School Access Project initiative.
