Thank You for Unplugging with US

Global Day of Unplugging In Retail Store

I don’t know about you, but I had a wonderful day last Friday when I had a chance to unplug. Everyone at UScellular was overwhelmed by the response we received when we asked you to join us to take a momentary tech break for Global Day of Unplugging.

So now it is time to say thank you! Thank you to everyone who joined us and took some time away from your devices. Importantly, your social shares led us to donate $50,000 to the Unplug Collaborative, the non-profit that organizes the Global Day of Unplugging and works to make tech-free experiences meaningful and accessible to all.

Also, thank you to Sarah Michelle Gellar for lending her voice to the movement and sharing her insights into how she talks with her children about screen time.

Overall, we saw more than 1,300 shares from uscellular.com/unplugging and hundreds more on our social feeds letting us know you were disconnecting. We also loved seeing your photos and reflections sharing what you did while taking some time away from your phone.

Tulsa Drillers Stadium

Lastly, a big thank you to our UScellular associates and partners who joined us in unplugging and helped spread the word about the importance of having a reset moment. You help us deliver an excellent customer experience every day, and we hope you enjoyed your time unplugged. A special shout-out to the Tulsa Drillers baseball team who opened their stadium on Friday afternoon and invited the community to spend some quality time together away from their technology.

Global Day of Unplugging serves as a reminder to take time to reset, and our hope is that it inspires all of you to be mindful of the time spent on your devices. Technology does so many great things for us, but taking time to focus on genuine connections is invaluable.

Thank you for unplugging with us for a day and connecting to what matters most.
