Pride at UScellular

“True belonging doesn’t require us to change who we are; it requires us to be who we are.”

These words from research professor and lecturer Brené Brown speak to the power of being our authentic selves, which inspires me as we begin our Pride Month celebrations. I’m proud to be part of a company that stands with the LGBTQ+ community by offering a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace culture. We continue to be among the best places to work for LGBTQ+ equality, earning a perfect score in 2022, which further demonstrates why our company is a place where associates are empowered to be their full, authentic selves and can feel welcomed and valued for their contributions to our team.

One of the ways we celebrate our inclusivity is through our PRIDE Associate Resource Group (ARG), our associate-led group committed to creating an inclusive environment that appreciates the values and the diversity that Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, + associates bring to UScellular. For Pride month, our associates are hosting internal events and discussions, and we will be participating in many community events throughout the month.

Creating a culture of inclusivity does not happen overnight. It’s the day-to-day work of listening, responding and celebrating that makes me proud to be a part of our UScellular community not just during Pride Month, but all year long!
