Connect Your Cause: UScellular Associates Nominate, Choose Local Nonprofits for $46K Donation

CHICAGO (Oct. 19, 2023) – UScellular recently donated more than $40,000 to seven nonprofit organizations across the country through an employee-led campaign, helping celebrate the company's 40th anniversary by elevating the mission-driven work of its associates.

This fall, through the company’s third annual Connect Your Cause campaign, UScellular associates were encouraged to nominate and vote for the nonprofit that they were most passionate about. The nonprofits with the most votes then received donation amounts ranging from $15,000 to $3,000.

The winning organizations include:

Wildthunder Wildlife & Animal Rehabilitation and Sanctuary received $15,000.Independence, Iowa
Aces for Autism received $10,000.Greenville, N.C.
Strong Native Minds received $7,000.Milwaukee, Wis.
Alzheimer's Association (Chicago Chapter) received $5,000.Chicago
Elizabeth Hopper Memorial Scholarship at Purdue University received $3,000.West Lafayette, Ind.
Muslim Community Center Academy received $3,000.Chicago
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (Memphis, Tenn.) received $3,000.Memphis, Tenn.

In addition to Connect Your Cause, UScellular offers an Associate Match program, in which associates can double their donation to organizations that they are passionate about through a dollar-for-dollar match. They can also earn company-matched dollars through volunteering their time.
