UScellular's Statement on the FCC's National Broadband Map

Congratulations to the FCC for releasing its revised BDC in a timely manner. We continue to believe that accurate broadband mapping is essential as UScellular and our industry partners collaborate with government agencies to close the digital divide once and for all. We commend the FCC for embarking on an iterative mapping process to drive accuracy. At UScellular, demand for our fixed wireless broadband service increased substantially between June 30 and December 31, 2022. Given this increased demand, we pivoted our primary offering to indoor, self-install antennas that are more easily scalable than the external installation product that informed our first submission. This update creates a reduction in our coverage area to better reflect the availability of our most commonly used service.
