UScellular Donates $5,000 to Team Rubicon for Support at Fort McCoy

UScellular has donated $5,000 to Team Rubicon, an international disaster response nonprofit that unites the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders, to support in their aid of Afghan refugees at Fort McCoy in Wisconsin.

“Supporting on-the-ground efforts that better our communities is a foundational piece of who we are at UScellular,” said Christine Paulsen, director of sales and operations for UScellular in Wisconsin. “As an active member of our community, we listen to learn where we can act, and Team Rubicon has been key to helping military personnel and refugees at Fort McCoy through this time of transition.”

UScellular is also offering customers free calls to Afghanistan from the United States through the end of 2021. Customers can make outbound calls to Afghanistan at no additional charge, as international dialing rates for these calls will not apply.
