UScellular Associates Give Back in a Big Way
National Volunteer Month put a spotlight on the generosity and passion UScellular associates have for giving back to the local community. Our associates showed up in a variety of ways from putting together teddy bears for kids with a newly deployed parent, packaging hygiene kits and writing cards of support for patients receiving care at a local Veterans Affairs hospital to park clean ups and so much more. This April, associates volunteered 2,000 hours across our communities with an equivalent estimated value of $79,000. This dedication impacted communities in many ways including:
- Supported 350 veterans and their families
- Provided more than 30,000 meals to those affected by food insecurity
- Delivered more than 600 pounds of school and hygiene supplies to support hundreds of local youth
- Created 130 flower bouquets to elderly hospital and hospice patients
National Volunteer Month highlights the giving spirit of UScellular associates, and it demonstrates the commitment that they show every day in their communities. To learn more about how UScellular gives back all year long, go to Building Better Communities.
