UScellular 2023 Community Event Tour Supports Genuine Connections
Encourages Attendees to Stop Scrolling and Start Dreaming with Chance to Win a Vacation
Throughout the summer months, UScellular will bring its US Mode experience to community events across the country. Event attendees can participate in a shareable photo experience, or they can stop by just to recharge their phones. Visitors to the US Mode experience can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win $20,000 for a dream vacation.
An augmented reality (AR) photo experience allows visitors to select their dream vacation spot and take a photo in front of a customized backdrop that they can share via email and/or social media to commemorate the day together.
“We’re excited to welcome the community to our US Mode experience with the chance to win prizes and connect with each other,” said Verchele Roberts, vice president of brand management for UScellular. “We understand the importance of how smartphones enhance our lives and our goal is to inspire genuine human interaction by providing consumers with the opportunity to take a break from the constancy of being connected and enjoy their time at their local event."
Smartphones have become an essential part of everyday life, with many Americans spending a significant amount of time staring at their screens, but according to a 2022 consumer survey commissioned by UScellular, just under half of users say their smartphone enhances their lives and nearly one third agree they could spend less time on their phones.
Visitors to the US Mode experience will learn about US Mode, the company’s effort to help smartphone users have healthier digital habits customizing focus settings on their devices. US Mode includes setting time limits on social media apps, disabling non-human push notifications, eliminating red notification bubbles for apps, enabling pre-set quiet times, and customizing app displays.
