U.S. Cellular Adding To 5g Device Line-Up With Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5g, Galaxy Z Flip 5g And Galaxy Tab S7 5g

CHICAGO (September 1, 2020)

U.S. Cellular continues to add to its 5G device offering with three new 5G options for customers. Starting Sep. 18, customers can purchase the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G, Galaxy Z Flip 5G and Galaxy Tab S7 5G, the company’s first 5G-enabled tablet. The Galaxy Z Fold2 5G and Galaxy Z Flip 5G smartphones will be available online only at uscelluar.com, and the Galaxy Tab S7 5G will be available online and in stores.

The Galaxy Z Fold2 5G and Galaxy Z Flip 5G both have revolutionary foldable designs. The Z Fold2 5G has a state-of-the-art hinge that allows the device to fold like a book. When folded, it has a 6.2-inch1 smartphone screen, and when opened it has a 7.6-inch1 tablet-like display. The Z Flip 5G has an Infinity Flex Display, allowing its 6.7-inch1 smartphone display to flip in to a small form factor that easily fits in a pocket, bag or purse.

The Galaxy Tab S7 comes in two sizes – the Tab S7 (11-inch display1) and Tab S7+ (12.4-inch1 display) – and are U.S. Cellular’s first tablets with 5G connectivity2. They are versatile devices that combine the power of a PC, the flexibility of a tablet, and the connectivity of a smartphone. The Samsung Book Cover Keyboard for the Tab S7 and S7+, ideal for working from home or kids in remote learning situations, will also be available at uscellular.com and in stores starting Sep. 18.

“These unique, cutting-edge devices are great additions to our 5G line-up, and we are thrilled to offer them to our customers,” said Kyle Bedtelyon, director of the device and accessory portfolio at U.S. Cellular. “As we continue expanding our 5G coverage area, it’s important that we offer a variety of devices to meet people’s ever-changing technology needs. “

U.S. Cellular continues to expand its 5G coverage area, and customers in select areas of California, Maryland, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Virginia, Washington and West Virginia will soon join those in Iowa, Maine and Wisconsin in having access to U.S. Cellular’s 5G network.
