Together for Mental Health
Each day, we juggle many responsibilities in our lives – work, kids, pets, our home, our community... the list goes on. Our mental health is included in the list of things we navigate, but often it is overlooked and attended to after we’ve handled everything else. Yet, it’s our mental health and well-being that enables us to accomplish the rest of our responsibilities.
May marks Mental Health Awareness Month, and this year’s theme is “Together for Mental Health.” This month serves as a good reminder to take care of our mental health and to take time to talk openly about its importance and impact on our overall health.
At UScellular mental health is a top priority in our commitment to well-being. Throughout the month, our team has been actively sharing resources, hosting weekly webinars to discuss mental health topics and sharing how to incorporate best practices into our daily lives with our associates.
It’s not enough to focus on mental health only in May. UScellular offers frequent webinars year-round to further the conversation around mental health and access to resources like Care.com, Wellbeats, and Well on Target, among others, to support mental health and well-being.
We also understand the important role our leaders have supporting the mental health needs of their team. Our leaders are provided with training to ensure they understand their critical role in bringing associates together around mental health by listening, recommending support resources and acknowledging that mental health is important and worthy of our attention.
Together, we can make a difference in mental health.
